Cinnamon and its oils can irritate the inside of pets’ mouths, making them uncomfortable and sick. Sufficient quantities of cinnamon, sugar, and raisins may result in your dog tasting like a cinnamon roll.
Cinnamon can lower a dog’s blood sugar too much and can lead to diarrhea, vomiting, increased, or decreased heart rate and even liver disease. If they snort cinnamon as a powder, cinnamon can cause difficulty breathing, coughing, and choking.
Human foods to avoid that contain cinnamon include Cinnabons®, pumpkin pie, snickerdoodles, Indian butter chicken, Hawaiian pizza, atomic fireball candy, apple fritters, lamb shawarma, Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey, and Big Red brand chewing gum.
My dog ate our gingerbread house and I had to take him to the hospital next day. Keep your gingerbread houses out of reach!!
